One of my favorite restaurants in Manila. Seafood is always fresh and food is delicious. Only complaint is their soda is from a machine and is not good. Better when they had canned soda.

I recently visited Wantusawa and would rate it a solid 5 stars, though with some reservations. The oysters were the star of the show – particularly the fresh oysters with calamansi and cane vinegar, which were a delightful blend of flavors. The fried and baked oysters were good, offering a satisfying taste and texture, but they didn't quite reach the same heights as the fresh ones. The grilled oysters, while decent, were the least impressive of the bunch. The service at Wantusawa was commendable. The servers were friendly and demonstrated a good understanding of the menu. While they were helpful, there were moments when the service could have been a bit more polished. The restaurant itself boasts a well-designed interior, reminiscent of an upscale bar. It creates a pleasant atmosphere that's both stylish and comfortable, though it doesn't necessarily stand out as exceptional. In conclusion, Wantusawa offers a very good dining experience with its tasty oysters and friendly service. The ambiance is nice, but it’s the quality of the oysters that truly makes the visit worthwhile. It’s a great choice for a satisfying meal, even if there are areas that could be enhanced.

I’m not a fan of oysters and I don’t like fresh oysters, but the baked oysters are pretty tasty. We’re lucky that we walk in and have a table for 5 persons immediately at Friday night. However, the peach highball is tasteless so maybe try the beers or non alcoholic drinks instead next time.

Wantusawa restaurant offers fresh oysters at an affordable 50 pesos each, making it a go-to spot for oyster lovers on a budget. While other menu items lean towards the pricey side, the deliciousness justifies the cost. The baked oysters and sriracha fried chicken stand out as highly recommended choices, ensuring a satisfying dining experience for seafood and spice enthusiasts alike.

We always order the grilled and baked oysters, but this time, we tried their HUGE tuna tataki and BOOR. I love love love their black rice (feels healthy), their cheese is so good. So far, we haven't had a bad oyster when eating here. Always my go to 😋

The venue is tidy, but it can get noisy when crowded. Staffs are attentive. The oysters aren't as plump as those in Boracay. They provide vinegar and hot sauce on the table, but the vinegar isn't strong enough for my taste. Be prepared for potential allergies if you opt for the fresh ones; luckily, I had medication on hand.

We had a great experience, and this is now our favorite spot in Poblacion. very good ambiance and lighting. We tried four ways: fresh, grilled, baked, fried. here is our take: 1. FRESH oyster: this is our top fave; nothing beats the simplicity which gives the oyster its natural flavor. It's a pleasure to tastebuds, the best oyster i had, needs to be consumed within 5 minutes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. GRILLED oyster: our second fave, just like the fresh oyster but with a little smokey flavor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. BAKED oyster: I like the cheese they used; this, I think, is the best for beer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. FRIED oyster: This is like eating an oyster omelet, but with crispy breading. I'm just not a fan, but still okay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service is very great; he even assisted us, as first-timers, so we could have an idea what to order.

Great ambience, great food, very lively…baked oysters was great, crab claw tempura was huge, Laksa was a little different from what I used to taste but was indeed a great fusion of Japanese and classic Asian dish (thumbs up for this).
